Sprague Golf

Yesterday the boys 6A golf championship concluded the two day State Championship. Congratulations to senior Ryder Hiebert. He represented Sprague with class and sportsmanship finishing as one of the top 50 golfers in the State. Also please remember tonight is awards night for boys and girls golf.

Attention Current Speech Team Members!

Please join Mr. Curry on Wednesday, May 17th in room 101 during lunch for a 2023-2024 planning meeting. All current team members should attend. Please see Curry if you cannot attend. The meeting covers fundraising, calendar planning, and recruitment for next year. Curry hopes to see you there.

Hey Olys!

Do you like to do your nails? MEChA and Cultural Alliance invite you to join us as we do our nails to represent different countries to prepare for Cultural Week next week. Stop by Ms. Alvarez’ room 234 after school this Friday, May 19th or Monday, May 22nd.

Senior Banquet Tickets

are now available to purchase. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from the bookkeeper before school, during lunch, and after school. All fines and fees have to be paid or cleared before a ticket can be purchased.

Sprague Dance Team Auditions

Auditions for the Sprague Dance Team will be held next week on Thursday, May 18. Rehearsals for the auditions will be in the auxiliary gym on Monday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for 8th grade students and 7:30 to 9:00 pm for all other grades.  Auditions are open to all current and incoming Sprague students with an interest in dance!

HOSA Quiz Bowl

HOSA Quiz Bowl is coming on Tuesday, May 23. Put a team together and sign up! Prizes and pizza will be provided. You can get more information from Jamie Ellis and Amy West. Review games occur every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in room 56.

Disney’s Frozen Jr.

Disney’s Frozen, Jr. is coming to Sprague Theatre, Opening May 17th at 7pm. Shows run Wednesday-Saturday the 20th. On the 22, there will be a special Oly Student show at 7pm! Students with ASB cards get in free; students with a Sprague ID get in for $5 The public is still welcome at $10.00 a ticket. See you there!

Sprague Track and Field..

finished up its JV season by hosting the JV Bash on May 11th. There were a lot of great performances and Sprague competed very well. Our Varsity season concludes with the District Meet at McNary on Friday May 19th and Saturday May 20th. Come cheer us on as we look to send several athletes down to Historic Hayward Field for the State Championships on May 26th and 27th in Eugene.

Next HOSA Meeting..

will be TODAY at lunch in room 56. We will be electing the officers for the 2023-2024 school year. Please see Amy West in room 56 if you have any questions and are interested in running for an office. No prior experience is necessary.

Congrats Girls Golf

Our Sprague Girls Golf Team finished strong at the 6A State Tournament at Quail Valley May 15-16th. Emily Keel earned 9th place as an individual medalist and our team improved to 10th place on day 2! We met our team goal of a top 10 finish and we have lots of valuable experience to take into next season. Every member of our team contributed to our success.
