are now available to purchase. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from the bookkeeper before school, during lunch, and after school. All fines and fees have to be paid or cleared before a ticket can be purchased.

They won the Dual Meet and the District Tournament Title! Congratulations to singles winners: Tirzah Tarbox 1st place, Hannah Bradshaw 2nd place, Reese Beyrouty 4th place and doubles winners: Anna Ainsworth and Drew Fiskum 2nd place, Allie Shelton and Elisabeth Nickel 3rd place.

HOSA Quiz Bowl

HOSA Quiz Bowl is coming on Tuesday, May 23. Put a team together and sign up! Prizes and pizza will be provided. You can get more information from Jamie Ellis and Amy West. Review games occur every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in room 56.

Sprague Dance Team Auditions

Auditions for the Sprague Dance Team will be held next week on Thursday, May 18. Rehearsals for the auditions will be in the auxiliary gym on Monday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for 8th grade students and 7:30 to 9:00 pm for all other grades.  Auditions are open to all current and incoming Sprague students with an interest in dance!

Congrats Sprague Girls Golf!

The Sprague Girls Golf Team earned 1st place at the two-day CVC district tournament at Mallard Creek last week!  The varsity team that competed at Districts included Emily Keel, Bella Morrow, Amari Young, Kiera Hugmeyer, and Tianna Jones.  There were several personal best scores recorded by our players, including Emily’s 79 on day 2 of the tournament.  Our team will be one of 14 teams from around the state to compete at the 6A state tournament on May 15-16 at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, OR. The Sprague Girls were also Dual Meet Champions in our conference with varsity players Emily Keel, Bella Morrow, Amari Young, Kiera Hugmeyer, Tianna Jones, Payton Willey, and Victoria Butler contributing to our success.  Congratulations to the Sprague Girls Golf Team!

 Board Games Club

Do you enjoy board games? Interested in playing Uno? Chess?  Scrabble? If so, join the Board Games Club on Monday afternoon from 3:30-4:30 in Mrs. K-T’s room (Rm 117).

Yesterday Sprague Boys and Girls Tennis teams…

finished in first place at the District Playoffs held at the Salem Tennis and Swim Club. All of Sprague boys 12 players contributed to the team win by winning points for either Singles or Doubles play. Seven players for Sprague qualified for playing in the State Championships by reaching the District Semifinals. Jacob Horn and Jacob Hoda won 1st place in Doubles playing teammates Caleb Hurley and Jabin Barkes in the finals. Owen Strawn and Lukas Klotz finished 4th in the semifinal playoffs. Also Lincoln Basl took 3rd place in the Singles draw to qualify him with the other 6 players to travel to the State Playoffs starting May 18th in Tualatin, Oregon. Congratulations to those players and the others on the team to help win the District Championship. Go Sprague!

Disney’s Frozen Jr.

Disney’s Frozen, Jr. is coming to Sprague Theatre, Opening May 17th at 7pm. Shows run Wednesday-Saturday the 20th. On the 22, there will be a special Oly Student show at 7pm! Students with ASB cards get in free; students with a Sprague ID get in for $5 The public is still welcome at $10.00 a ticket. See you there!

Also, if you know of young ones who love all things FROZEN, listen up! This Saturday May 13, at 2pm in the commons we will have a Princess and Character Tea Party. Anyone is welcome for a meet and greet with the characters, games, goodies, photo shoots and autograph sessions. The ticket price of $25.00 also includes a ticket to come back and see the show!
