Girls Golf Meeting

Hey Olys…we are having an informational meeting for the girls golf team. If you are interested in playing golf this Spring, save the date of January 19th. Come meet our girls golf team and Coach Connie Peters in the Oly Forum at 3:30pm on January 19th to learn more about our plan for the season. We will have some preseason opportunities to hit together on the range in February. All levels of golfers are welcome! Coach Peters will give you the details about our golf program. Sprague Dance Team

The Sprague Dance Team hosted and competed in a competition at Sprague Saturday, January 14th. The team placed first in Novelty, first in Modern and second in the Kick categories. In addition, the senior captains auditioned for All State honors on Sunday, January 15th at Tigard High School. Seniors Gracie Heagy and Madeline Aballay made the finals and Madeline was one of 18 dancers selected for the 6A All State Team. Congratulations to Maddie and all of the dancers on the weekend of accomplishments!

Senior Meeting

January 24th we will have a Senior class meeting in the Pantheon during Advisory. Be sure to attend so you can vote on Teacher speakers and readers at graduation. There will be other information pertaining to graduation as you being the wind  down of your high school career.

Girls Tennis Meeting

The girls’ tennis team is having a player/parent meeting Tuesday, January 24th, at 6:30pm in the commons. Any girls’ interested in playing on the varsity or JV teams should attend to learn about the upcoming tennis season and tryouts.

Sprague Spruce Up

Come help the Seniors in the second Sprague Spruce Up! This will be on Monday, February 13th, at 3:30pm in the front of the school, with clean up materials provided. Help us keep our campus fancy!

Unified Fundraiser

Olys, would you like to see Coach Buchheit yeet a pie at Principal Barkes’ face? Help fundraise for our Unified programs by placing some cash in the designated jars in your teacher’s classroom. The teacher that raises the most funds will pie Principal Barkes’ in our assembly on January 27th.

Attention All Seniors

The Senior Class will be hosting a game of Gotcha, also known as MAFIA. You can take down your peers outside of class time on campus, the winner will receive a GRAND PRIZE! You may purchase tickets from the bookkeeper starting on February 6th for $5, the first day of 2nd semester. More information will be forthcoming.

Attention All Sprague Baseball Players

There will b e a brief, but very important baseball meeting this Thursday (tomorrow) during lunch starting at 11:45am in the weight room. Please be there and be on time ready to listen. See you there!


We will be meeting on Monday, January 23rd during lunch in the AVID room, room 18. Bring your lunch hand join us as we talk about community service and how to give back to the Sprague community. This club is open to all students. AVID students are strongly encouraged to attend.

Sprague Wrestling

This past weekend the Sprague girls varsity team competed at the Southridge Invitational at Southridge High School. The ladies placed 9th of 24 on team points and had 4 placers out of 7 competitors. Freshman Chaya Palomo placed 2nd and Freshman Isabella Willburn placed 3rd. Sophomore Bailey Seley and Freshman Breanna Waldrop placed 6th in their respective brackets. The girls look forward to competing in the 2nd Annual Lady Dragon Invitational at Dallas High School this Saturday, January 21st. On the boys’ side, Freshman Angelo Short placed 4th and Sophomore Seamus Glade placed 6th. Both teams face off against North Salem High School in a dual meet on January 18th at North Salem High School. Junior Varsity begins at 6pm and Varsity beings at 7pm.
