Congratulations to Sprague Baseball and Softball!
Both teams made the playoffs. The baseball team beat Sandy 4-1 last night and is playing in the second round against the Sherwood Bowman tomorrow night at 5pm at Sprague. Tickets are $6 for students and $10 for adults. You can find those on the OSAA website through hometown ticketing or pay cash at the table. Come root on our team. See you there!

Congrats Sprague Track and Field
Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity teams for their performances at the District Meet at McNary on Friday and Saturday. In an overall team performance, Sprague scored in every event for both the boys and girls and finished a close 3rd on the boys’ side and a strong 2nd in the Conference on the girls’ side. On the girls’ side, Madi Downey was named the Field Athlete of the Year for the CVC and Wil Charles was named the Field Athlete of the Year for the CVC on the boys’ side. A final reminder to all Track Athletes that our Awards Ceremony celebrating our season will be tomorrow, Wednesday May 24th starting at 6pm in the Commons.

We met our team goal of a top 10 finish and we have lots of valuable experience to take into next season. Every member of our team contributed to our success. finished up its JV season by hosting the JV Bash on May 11th. There were a lot of great performances and Sprague competed very well. Our Varsity season concludes with the District Meet at McNary on Friday May 19th and Saturday May 20th. Come cheer us on as we look to send several athletes down to Historic Hayward Field for the State Championships on May 26th and 27th in Eugene.

The varsity team that competed at Districts included Emily Keel, Bella Morrow, Amari Young, Kiera Hugmeyer, and Tianna Jones. There were several personal best scores recorded by our players, including Emily’s 79 on day 2 of the tournament. Our team will be one of 14 teams from around the state to compete at the 6A state tournament on May 15-16 at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, OR. The Sprague Girls were also Dual Meet Champions in our conference with varsity players Emily Keel, Bella Morrow, Amari Young, Kiera Hugmeyer, Tianna Jones, Payton Willey, and Victoria Butler contributing to our success. Congratulations to the Sprague Girls Golf Team!

finished in first place at the District Playoffs held at the Salem Tennis and Swim Club. All of Sprague boys 12 players contributed to the team win by winning points for either Singles or Doubles play. Seven players for Sprague qualified for playing in the State Championships by reaching the District Semifinals. Jacob Horn and Jacob Hoda won 1st place in Doubles playing teammates Caleb Hurley and Jabin Barkes in the finals. Owen Strawn and Lukas Klotz finished 4th in the semifinal playoffs. Also Lincoln Basl took 3rd place in the Singles draw to qualify him with the other 6 players to travel to the State Playoffs starting May 18th in Tualatin, Oregon. Congratulations to those players and the others on the team to help win the District Championship. Go Sprague!

Anyone is welcome for a meet and greet with the characters, games, goodies, photo shoots and autograph sessions. The ticket price of $25.00 also includes a ticket to come back and see the show!

HOSA Quiz Bowl
HOSA Quiz Bowl is coming on Tuesday, May 23. Put a team together and sign up! Prizes and pizza will be provided. You can get more information from Jamie Ellis and Amy West. Review games occur every Tuesday and Thursday at lunch in room 56.
Sprague Dance Team Auditions
Auditions for the Sprague Dance Team will be held next week on Thursday, May 18. Rehearsals for the auditions will be in the auxiliary gym on Monday, May 15 to Wednesday, May 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for 8th grade students and 7:30 to 9:00 pm for all other grades. Auditions are open to all current and incoming Sprague students with an interest in dance!
Congrats Sprague Girls Golf!
The Sprague Girls Golf Team earned 1st place at the two-day CVC district tournament at Mallard Creek last week! The varsity team that competed at Districts included Emily Keel, Bella Morrow, Amari Young, Kiera Hugmeyer, and Tianna Jones. There were several personal best scores recorded by our players, including Emily’s 79 on day 2 of the tournament. Our team will be one of 14 teams from around the state to compete at the 6A state tournament on May 15-16 at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, OR. The Sprague Girls were also Dual Meet Champions in our conference with varsity players Emily Keel, Bella Morrow, Amari Young, Kiera Hugmeyer, Tianna Jones, Payton Willey, and Victoria Butler contributing to our success. Congratulations to the Sprague Girls Golf Team!
Congrats Sprague Concert Choir!
Congratulations to the Sprague Concert Choir who finished 7th in their division at State this last weekend! They gave a most inspiring performance!
Congrats Sprague Boys Golf!
The Boys Golf Team finished the season with a 4th place finish at the Regional tournament at Tokatee Golf Club. The highlight of the day was Ryder Hiebert with one of the top scores for day securing a spot in the Golf State Championship next week! Congratulation to Ryder on his major accomplishment!

Disney’s Frozen Jr.
Disney’s Frozen, Jr. is coming to Sprague Theatre, Opening May 17th at 7pm. Shows run Wednesday-Saturday the 20th. On the 22, there will be a special Oly Student show at 7pm!
